Argentine Tango is more than just a dance; many movies have been inspired by tango since the invention of cinema.
Recently it is in the spotlight again, appearing in many big movie productions.
As we know, tango plays a minor role in the movies, but it is very effective to underline feelings or situations.
Certainly, rules of the Tango are very strict: man leads the woman and she follow him, but rules of the cinema can change all and very easily. :)
As shown in the following four samples of famous Tango in movies, each of them shows a different way to approach a woman (or not approach).
What would you choose?
1) Scent of Woman - Romantic and Gentle Approach ("Por una cabeza" - Carlos Gardel)
[...[ no mistakes in the tango, not like life.
It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great.
If you make a mistake, get all tangled up, just tango on. [...]
2) Shall We Dance? - “Toy Boy” Approach (Santa Maria - Del Buen Ayre)
[...] Don’t say anything - Don’t think - Don’t move as you feel it (three good rules)
3) Take the Lead - Provocative Approach
4) Moulin Rouge - Passionate Approach (Roxanne Tango)
