Kubrick - One-Point Perspective
Submitted by HALfie on
Somewhere in this piece is an untenable theory about how this perspective is more than an aesthetic choice for Kubrick but a gateway to the meaning of life.

Her Space

This my first attempt at a video essay if you would call it that. It is a case study of Spike Jonze's Her and the use of space. The use of space, with the main character wandering across it or being still, you get the real sense of loneliness this character is going through. Wide angle shots with character in the middle, you are instantly immersed into his inner emotions. It begs the question of, if we are forever wandering in search of something or someone? This is what Her is to me all about.
