Plot is just a trace.
"Leftovers" was born from an orginal idea but doesn't seem to be developed as well.
Some characters seem to be too "smoky" in order to understand their minds and the dialogues.
And playing with words... smoke is a recurring element in this TV drama. :-)
This series is a melting pot of genres: zombie, vampires, letal viruses, nazism, conspiracy... maybe too much.
Anyway it's not ugly.
