“Last Year at Marienbad” is a very difficult film to approach since the first shots.

In a hypnotic way, viewer is leaded through a path of memories and flashbacks, alternating truth and imagination in an architecture of ambiguity and uncertainty.

Clearly inspired by Herzog’s works, “El abrazo” is an interesting visual experience and a metaphore of a possible "bridge" between different cultures so far each other, even the message risks to be too poor and trivial.

The quite impressive ending reminds the Kubrickian trip sequence.
